One could not help but feel the energy and excitement at the opening reception of ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES, a juried show of forty-six monotypes and monoprints in the Time Warner gallery at LynnArts, Lynn, MA on Saturday April 4. The gallery was packed! I spoke with many of our members (some represented in the show and others not) and also with many who were not members who came because of their passion and interest in monoprints.
There was a wonderful flow accomplished by the way the diverse work was hung. One often found one piece informing another hanging next to it - whether in color, subject, or technique. A continuity and a rhythm were established.
Juror Kurt Wisneski selected the pieces for awards just before the opening reception began and later spoke to the gathering about what he found compelling in each piece he selected for an award.
