I am an eclectic artist and my work certainly reflects that. I have
worked in a lot of different medias including black and white and
digital photography, painting, clay, bookmaking, glass, metal, fabric,
and printmaking. A lot of my work is a combination of two or more of
these medias. Currently I have become interested in bookmaking and
printmaking.

In my work I have a few themes that I generally use in each piece. I
am very interested in process and the traditions of the cultures of
China and Japan. Recently I have become interested in Celtic themes
and how they relate to art from China and Japan. Through some
research I have found connections of these cultures to be of nature,
the seasons, the elements and ancestral reverence. I like to use color
and texture to show detail and also create the mood of my work. I use
the vague imagery to draw the viewer in and the textures and patterns
engage the viewer to hold the interest.
