The Monotype Guild of New England invites its members and members of the South Shore Art Center to submit
up to three monotypes or monoprints for a juried exhibition at The South Shore Art Center’s Bancroft Gallery
in Cohasset, Massachusetts.

Begin Accepting Entries: November 5, 2021

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, January 5, 2022

ELIGIBILITY: Both MGNE and SSAC members may apply. All prints must be either monotypes or monoprints. For detailed descriptions of those terms, please follow this link to our website: https://mgne.org/monotypedefined. Submitted work cannot have been shown at an earlier MGNE or SSAC exhibits. There will be a $12 fee for each work. MGNE is open to artists working in the medium of one-of-a-kind prints. To join MGNE, follow this link: https://mgne.org/membership. VENUE: The Bancroft Gallery is the centerpiece of the South Shore Art Center. Designed by architect Vcevold Strekalovsky, the gallery’s trapezoidal floor plan and soaring ceiling create intriguing visual planes and sight-lines. Donated by Jessie Bancroft Cox to honor her parents, the Bancroft Gallery is recognized as one of the outstanding exhibition spaces in the greater Boston area.

JUROR: Catherine Kernan is a printmaker, painter and author. She is co-founder and partner of Mixit Print Studio, a professional open rental printmaking studio in Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts, and co-author of,
“Singular & Serial: Contemporary Monotype and Monoprint”. She has been creating art since 1980. Her work can be found in the collections of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University, the Library of Congress, the National Museum of American Art and numerous other public institutions.
