MGNE is seeking for proposals for a series of paid hands-on workshops, print demonstrations, gallery and artist talks in conjunction with the 6th National Exhibition Monotype Guild of New England: 40 Years of Unique Prints, May 4 – August 31, 2025 at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA. In addition to the on-site events MGNE will also be hosting a series of virtual events on Zoom throughout the summer.
Please note, you do not need to be an exhibiting artist or MGNE member to participate. We welcome proposals for programs related to the exhibition for a range of audiences, printmaking techiniques and artistic levels. Community outreach event proposals are also encouraged.

The Duxbury Arts Complex Museum (ACM) is offering the use of its teaching studio for printmaking workshops during the 2025 MGNE 6th National Juried Exhibition Monotype Guild of New England: 40 Years of Unique Prints. Location: Duxbury Arts Complex Museum, 189 Alden St., Duxbury in Massachusetts.
Hands On Workshops:
- Facility: ACM offers a bright and spacious teaching studio with worktables for up to 12 participants, a press with a 22 x 30 in bed and the use of an adjoining kitchen. Overnight accommodation may be provided on-site for instructors depending on availability. Note: Teaching studio space is not fully handicap accessible. There is a small drying rack for prints, a slop sink as well as a kitchen with a fridge, coffee maker, kettle and microwave.
- Available dates: We are mostly scheduling for July and August although there will also be some availability in May and June.
- Compensation: Instructors receive 70% of collected fees. Registration fees (per participant) are $75 for ½ day, $150 for full day and $300 for 2 day (Saturday & Sunday) workshops. If there are multiple instructors, they will split the fees.
- Materials: A materials list and fee must be included in the workshop description. Participants will pay a materials fee to the instructor directly for any materials provided. Museum will provide tempered glass, plexiglass plates, ink knives, and an array of small and medium speedball brayers. They will also provide paper towels and rags.
- Workshop options: ½ day workshop, one day workshop, two day workshop
- Workshop advertising, registration and fee collection is provided by the ACM.
Demonstrations, Gallery Talks & Artist Talks:
- Take place inside the Art Complex Museum. These generally run about 1-2 hours. The ACM will pay the presenter a $200 stipend plus materials costs per event. If there are multiple presenters, they would split the stipend.
Application Instructions and Deadline:
All proposals must be received by midnight ET on April 7, 2025. Approved applicants will be contacted by April 17, 2025 to confirm dates and details. The ACM finalizes its summer 2025 events and programs on April 30, 2025. In the application, please indicate your availability for dates and whether the proposed program is virtual, in-person at the museum, or both. Please note, you do not need to be an exhibiting artist or MGNE member to participate. We welcome proposals for a range of audiences and artistic levels. Community outreach event proposals are also encouraged.
