Submissions to the exhibition were open to all artists who reside in the United States. MGNE Membership or membership with the Rhode Island Watercolor Society was required.

The Monotype Guild of New England announces the in-person juried exhibition “ImPRESSive” at the Rhode Island Watercolor Society in Pawtucket, RI. From the seventy-five works on display, juror Adrian Tió awarded three prizes: 1st place: $250, 2nd place: $150, 3rd place: $100.

JUROR: Adrian Tió received his fine arts training from Temple University (B.A. 1974), the University of Cincinnati (M.F.A. 1979), and studied at the Tyler School of Art in Rome, Italy (1975-76). Residing in Mattapoisett, MA, Tió is a Professor of Fine Arts in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and has exhibited nationally as well as regionally in drawing, painting and printmaking for over 40 years. VENUE: Founded in 1896, The Rhode Island Watercolor Society (RIWS) is one of the oldest watercolor organizations in America. Their gallery, located in the JC Potter Casino Building, an historic lakeside boathouse in Slater Memorial Park, features an art gallery, library and studio space. They host frequent shows each year including a National Water Media Competition.
