Take Another Look; There’s a Lot Going On
22 x 30 monotype collage, 2016

ARTIST STATEMENT

My current focus is printmaking, mainly monotype and monotype collage. I especially enjoy creating 8″x10″monotypes , experimenting with variety of textures and colors. These, I arrange into color groups to create a palette. Then I cut the monotypes into a different sized pieces. These pieces become my medium. After creating the basic collage, I embellish it using scraps from the cut up monotypes. These embellishments enhance the piece and make it cohesive.
