Take Another Look; There’s a Lot Going On
22 x 30 monotype collage, 2016

My current focus is printmaking, mainly monotype and monotype collage. I especially enjoy creating 8″x10″monotypes , experimenting with variety of textures and colors. These, I arrange into color groups to create a palette. Then I cut the monotypes into a different sized pieces. These pieces become my medium. After creating the basic collage, I embellish it using scraps from the cut up monotypes. These embellishments enhance the piece and make it cohesive.

I have been making art all of my adult life, but art became a passion for me about twenty years ago when I became a watercolorist. Ten years ago I began experimenting with different mediums and developed a love for print making.

Besides the MGNE, I am an active member of:
• the Attleboro Arts Museum
• the Rhode Island Watercolor Society
• the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative
• and Collective Marks
