Black Tyvek House
15 x 18 monotype using Tyvek, 2011

I enjoy the continual surprise that printmaking provides. Color, gesture and experimentation are my hallmarks. I would say monotypes fit my temperment which enjoys layering, overprinting and using additional materials like thread and collage to complete pieces. I am always learning new things and particularly enjoy the AKUA soy based inks.

I exhibit my work in Maine as well as other places. I am part of the National Association of Women Artists and have won awards for my printmaking in their competitions. I believe most of my concerns and ideas about the world can be expressed through some form of printmaking.

Living and printing in Maine for over twenty years! I teach monotypes regularly at the Midcoast Printmakers in Newcastle Maine. MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Fine Art. Enjoy the process which is always magical. Also enjoy acrylic painting and encaustics. Willing to travel to teach workshops in all forms of printmaking.
