Sections of natural Kitakata paper, various sizes, sewn together with cotton thread in patchwork formation. Etching print (Charbonelle ink on Rives BFK) cut up into rock like shapes and secured to the Kitakata substrate with green DMC floss.
Phase 2: Jo Ann Bianchi
Addition of painted pebble like shapes (acrylic paint)
Phase 3: Judith Long
Long rectangle shaped thin brown handmade paper plus flattened seaweed added by Judith Long. In my estimation, I felt that the piece was complete at this point.
