ARTIST STATEMENT
Having spent my life in the Hudson River Valley and Connecticut, I focus on painting landscapes of local scenes of New England and the East Coast in oil and pastel. In addition, I have recently become interested in exploring monotypes and linoleum block printing.
I have had the privilege of studying with such accomplished painters as Richard McKinley, Clayton Beck, Douglas Fryer, CW Mundy, and Dennis Sheehan, among others. Their enthusiasm for the creative process and generosity of wisdom has been invaluable.
Membership/Honors include: Master Pastelist, Pastel Society of America; Signature Member, Connecticut Pastel Society; Elected Artist Member, Salmagundi Club of New York; Elected Artist, Audubon Artists of America; Elected Artist, Allied Artists of America; Member, American Impressionist Society; Member, New York Society of Etchers.
