ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is evidence of an act of discovery
which occurs
through the process of creating.
The process itself is the driving force,
as opposed to a method
that is informed by a predetermined result.
Embracing ignorance, innocence, and mystery,
I’m not interested
in arriving at a place
where my mind has been before,
nor,
traveling there
on a familiar road.
Chance, spontaneity, intuition, and accident
preclude the intellectual as motivation.
