Salon des Refusés Open Members Exhibition

May 4 – June 4, 2017

The Galleries at Kimball Jenkins Estate
266 North Main Street, Concord, NH 03301

In 1863, so many paintings were rejected by the Paris Salon, the official annual showcase of French art, that Emperor Napoleon III ordered a new exhibition to be organized, dubbed the “Salon des Refusés”. In the spirit of the “Salon des Refusés” the upcoming MGNE open show calls on our members to submit a print previously rejected by a juror, but that remains a personal favorite.

Entry Deadline: Midnight, April 22, 2017

Awards: There will be a total of $225 in prize money: $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place. All will be ‘People’s Choice’ awards.

Fee: $20 for MGNE member entry of one (1) print.

Eligibility: Your Monotype Guild membership must be up-to-date to participate. Please join MGNE or renew your membership at mgne.org/membership before beginning the entry process. All prints must be either monotypes or monoprints. Work cannot have been shown at an earlier MGNE exhibit.
