UNIQUE IMPRESSIONS VI:  MGNE Annual Members’ Exhibition (Non-Juried)

November 12, 2016 – January 7, 2017

Zullo Gallery: Center for the Arts

The Monotype Guild of New England invites MGNE members in good standing to submit one 2-D monotype or monoprint for an exhibition at Zullo Gallery. Submissions must be original, one-of-a-kind monoprints or monotypes prints. We will close the entry process when we reach sixty pieces or the deadline of October 27, 2016, whichever comes first.

Entry Deadline: October 27, 2016

Fee: $20 for MGNE members.*
*There is no jurying requirement for membership in MGNE. To join MGNE or renew your membership, visit mgne.org/membership.

Eligibility: MGNE Members in good standing may submit one print, which has not been exhibited at a previous MGNE show, for a fee of $20.00. The width of any submission cannot exceed 30 inches. The Gallery Director and MGNE Exhibition Chair will have final say on any work and may reject work upon arrival that does not meet professional standards.

Entry Procedure: To apply, complete the online application form and pay the fee online via paypal as instructed. Each MGNE Member may submit up to one prints. If you are uncertain if your membership is current, please contact Sophia Pushkin at info@mgne.org.

Digital Submission: Digital submissions will be accepted through our entrythingy.com dashboard.

Only JPEG files will be accepted. JPEGs must be 1800 pixels on the longest side and have a resolution of 300 dpi. JPEGs must be titled this way: last name_first name_entry# (example: smith_jane_2.jpg).

Note: When your submission is complete via the entrythingy dashboard, please type your full name when prompted and click the Paypal button to pay your entry fee. When payment is complete, you will receive confirmation from paypal. There will be a 24-72 hour delay via the entrythingy dashboard as to when your entry will be marked as submitted. Publicity: Digital files must be print-quality. By entering this exhibition, each artist grants consent for the use of submitted images for reproduction in print, for publicity and for educational purposes by both MGNE and Zullo Gallery.

Release: It is agreed that MGNE, its members and/or volunteers will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to entrants’ work while being transported, stored, hung, exhibited, taken down or otherwise handled during the course of this exhibition. All work will be treated with respect and care.

Framing Requirements: Original work must be securely framed, wired and ready to hang. Unstable or improperly framed work will not be accepted. The gallery cannot handle clips, keyhole, sawtooth edges or snap together frames.  Work cannot exceed 100 lbs.

Plexiglass is preferred to glass for all work and is required for all shipped work and any work over 18 x 24 inches. Exhibitors must agree to take full personal and financial responsibility for any damage sustained by exhibitor’s artwork that is framed with glass of any size.

Delivery/Shipping: Accepted work may be hand delivered to Zullo Gallery on Sunday, November 6, 2016 between 11am-4pm. We prefer that you hand deliver your work if possible.

An artwork delivery form is required by Zullo Gallery for all submitted work (either shipped or hand-delivered) and can be downloaded at:  http://www.zullogallery.org/pdf/artwork_delivery.pdf

All shipped work must be sent to the home of Bonnie Mineo, 65 Woodland Street, Sherborn, MA 01770 between October 31 and November 4, 2016. Work arriving late may not be hung.  Work arriving damaged will be returned immediately. MGNE member volunteers will handle your work with the care and respect that they accord their own work, but we cannot be responsible for damage.

Please use a sturdy box that can be reused for return. You must include a pre-paid return label from UPS or FEDEX with your shipment.  (We cannot  ship returned packages via the U.S. Post Office.) We will not accept work with packing peanuts.

Insurance: Zullo Gallery will insure your work during the exhibition.

Sales: Sales are encouraged and Zullo Gallery will retain a 35% commission on work sold. If your artwork is not for sale, please mark as “NFS.” Sales price will be the price indicated on the artwork delivery form. Artwork that is sold cannot leave Zullo Gallery before January 7.
